As the founder of a woman-owned business, living life in NYC, raising a child, running a business and finding some time for myself, I was thinking what success means for me. I have come to the conclusion that women should not try to obtain masculine traits in order to compete with their male colleagues and competitors. Successful women are those who use their own attributes, stay true to themselves, honor the beauty of their femininity, and enjoy their own inner wisdom.
We should embrace the way we move in life, each of us with our own unique dance and color, our sensitivity, intuition, vulnerability, assertiveness, wisdom, awareness, complexity and warmth.
For me, Women’s Day is a time to look in the mirror and remember that the love and compassion I share with myself, with my loved ones, and with the world around me, go hand in hand with fulfilling professional tasks I feel proud to accomplish. We should be ourselves with all of our feminine glory. For me, that is the beauty of womanhood. I truly believe that this beauty is life’s magic, and is the true way to bring change to this world.
By keeping our feminine essence alive in this masculine world, we have the power to make our world a better place.
